Claude.ai
Claude.ai (web) connects to CrowdTime as a custom connector. Unlike Claude Desktop, you don't paste your bearer into a config file — you give Claude.ai the MCP URL, and it opens a CrowdTime pop-up where you input the bearer token.
Before you start
Issue a new CrowdTime bearer token (Issue an MCP Token). You'll paste during the authorization flow for the new connector.
All Claude.ai plans support custom connectors (Free / Pro / Max / Team / Enterprise).
The free version of Claude allows one custom MCP connector.
Add the connector
- In Claude.ai, open Customize → Connectors.
- Click on Connectors. Add connector +.
- Fill in:
- Name:
CrowdTime(or whatever you like). - Remote MCP server URL: copy this from the CrowdTime token page.
- Name:
- Click Add.
Claude.ai will open a CrowdTime pop-up asking you to authorize the connector.
Authorize
The pop-up asks you to paste your CrowdTime bearer token (sk_…). This links the connector to your wallet:
- Paste the bearer.
- Confirm.
Verify
Open a new chat and ask:
List the CrowdTime MCP tools, then run
crowdtrendz_crypto_news_researchorcrowdtrendz_stock_news_research.
You should see ~16 tools and a comprehensive summary.
If you're asked to re-paste your bearer
After a CrowdTime deploy or restart, Claude.ai may pop the consent screen open again. Just paste the same bearer — it still works. Nothing on your wallet has changed.
Removing the connector
Customize → Connectors → CrowdTime → Remove. To fully sever the link, also revoke the underlying bearer from the CrowdTime home page so that no future client can use it.
